This is the final digipak for my ancillary task. I chose to use images which feature objects and landscapes instead of the band in a picture. It suits the genre, and most importantly, it also fits the house style of the RHCP. I finally chose to use a colour scale similar to the colours found in one of the most famous Red Hot Chili Peppers album covers: Californication.

This is the magazine advert I created to promote my digipak and my music video. I think it turned out very well, it also matches the genre and the is a clear resemblance between the digipak and the advert itself.; this resemblance builds the brand identity.

Final editing update for my digipak; finished all the big work, but the digipak still lacks in some details such as fixing the copyright information of the lyrics on the inside of the cover.
I finally decided to use this colours in order to keep the brand identity, so the audience recognise the work easily.

DIGIPAK BRIEF

A promotion package for the release of an album to include a music promo video, together within 2 of the 3 following options:
A cover for its release as part of a Digipak (CD/DVD Cover)
A magazine advertisement for the Digipak (CD/DVD Cover)
A Website in promotion of the artist/band.

INSPIRATIONAL TEXTS

The original music video for my chosen song was definitely my inspiration. I wanted to use the same kind of editing for my music video, as the idea of using a filter to make it look dreamy and past-like and using slow paced editing is really good. The ideas of both videos are different, but I don't really know if I had any inspiration for the concept of the video. I followed the concept of the lyrics, which talk about a road trip.

EDITING UPDATE 2

After showing the first minute of video to my peers, I received some very useful feedback which will definitively help me achieving better and that will improve the quality of my video.

This week I intend to create a sky time-lapse to show that summer is over and that a new stage of the video is starting, the time lapse will be during the instrumental part at the middle of the song. I also want to have at least the first half of the song finished; so I can start filming and editing the last scenes.
